Trucking company with open-door policy
Sisbro Inc. has an open-door policy for our team. We pair each driver with a fleet manager to address all their immediate needs, but sometimes there are concerns that cannot be addressed on that level. That’s when we ask that you speak to upper management to ensure that someone hears your concerns.
Our open-door policy in business reflects our commitment to transparent and flexible communication between managers and team members. It is the management practice of General Manager Glenn Bemis, Driver Support Specialist Lance Stott, Director of Safety Glenn Meyers, Recruiting Manager Chris Griggs, and others to leave the proverbial door open to all employees. This enhances communication across levels of the organization.
What’s the open-door policy significance to our business? It translates to better communication which in turn helps build a culture of family and trust. We think this is the only way to achieve innovation and growth. Everyone has valuable thoughts to share and both our workplace and ways of working could always be improved.
Our drivers are the heart of our trucking business and we ask that they be ready to provide positive or negative feedback or share ideas that can help us thrive. Use this policy to ask for feedback, ask questions on a subject, express a complaint or concern, raise awareness for a problem, ask for a resolution to an inside dispute or conflict, make suggestions for change, or discuss other personal topics.
Such communication ensures that we address employee concerns in a timely manner, resolve disputes before tensions escalate, help employees who were harassed, seize opportunities to improve processes, and foster a culture of mutual trust and collaboration.
Our drivers are encouraged to ask for an appointment in advance whenever possible. We ask that they start with their immediate fleet manager if possible or appropriate. In general, we want team members to speak up when they have an opinion about something and keep the lines of communication open about harassment, victimization, or any other special needs.
